Discount Carpet & Upholstery Cleaning began part-time in May 2013, with a plan to build a local service worth being proud of. The aim remains simple: achieve the best result possible without taking unnecessary risks with a customer’s carpet, furniture or flooring.
That also means honest education. Danny explains fabric and fibre types, what has caused a mark, what can realistically be improved and the safest way a household should deal with future spills.
Specialist training
Training was completed at Cleansmart, Alltec and Cleanspec, covering carpet cleaning, stain removal, upholstery cleaning, fine-fabric cleaning, hard-floor cleaning, carpet repair and specialist rug cleaning. The business holds public liability insurance covering carpet, upholstery and hard-floor cleaning.
Equipment selected for the job
- Phoenix 450 truck-mounted extraction system
- Ashbys Sensei 250 PSI portable extractor where access requires it
- Pro35 agitation machine
- 13-inch orbital and 17-inch rotary machines for suitable low-moisture work
- Dri-Pods and snail air movers to accelerate drying
The most powerful machine is not automatically the safest choice. Fibre, construction, condition, access, airflow and the customer’s requirements determine the process.
